Reports To:  Roofing Manager

Supervises: Roofing Mechanics, Roofing Laborers/Helpers

Basic Function: The Roofing Foreman is responsible for managing all field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. The Roofing Foreman directly supervises Roofing Mechanics , Roofing Labors also including Helpers/craft workers. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills

Responsibilities:       

  • Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force including assistants, subcontractors and other construction related personnel
  • Understanding the overall roof Assembly being installed and overseeing the installation of the materials into a complete and functional roofing system
  • Assembling Roofing Material Including Asphalt Shingles, Wood Shingles into a water tight system.
  • Setting Project sites up Including Equipment and Scaffolding
  • Working in a safe manner that complies with OSHA safety Standards
  • Communication with Roofing Manager and Roofing Mechanics in order to complete daily projects
  • Maintaining the project site in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Roofing Manager
  • Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and management.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to identify types of roofing materials and implement proper installation and repair
  • Ability to use all hand tools associated with roofing install including simple hand tools
  • Ability to Identify safety hazards on projects and take corrective measure to eliminate risk
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy weighted objects including materials and equipment
  • Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Functions effectively as part of a team
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities
  • Delegates work appropriately
  • Strong decision making/problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Osha 10 (will be provided after hire if needed)
  • Minimum 4+ years of industry experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience
  • OSHA 30
  • College or technical education desired
  • First Aid/CPR certification
